My name is Virginia Rodriguez. I do not have any pictures of myself alone because I am the photographer in the family, so that is my son Caleb next to me in the FBI hat.
I am interpreting the word "artist" in the broad sense and will say my favorite artist is Bob Dylan. Although he is primarily known for his songwriting, I did read somewhere that he paints as well. I like Bob Dylan because he does his own thing whether other people like it or not, he is a rebel. I also enjoy his music.
Human Biology is a recommended course towards a degree in Health Science and Community Health Education, which is the degree I am pursuing. I am currently employed as a health educator and hope to expand my knowledge of the human body.
One interesting fact about me is that I am the wife of a minister. My husband and I once accompanied a group of students halfway around the world to Bangkok, Thailand on a mission trip. We are currently serving at Alliance Bible Church in Prescott.
Unfortunately, my husband was recently diagnosed with cancer. the good news is his cancer is very treatable and he has an excellent prognosis. He starts chemotherapy this first week of class which makes me a bit nervous, but I am confident I can handle it.
The third thing I would like people to know is that I have an extremely curious nature. I feed that nature by reading, listening to music, exploring the Internet, and spending time outdoors. Sometimes I can be a bit obsessive when I discover something new. For example, I have read anything and everything I can about Bob Dylan. I have seen him in concert and watch any movies or documentaries that I can find about him. Lately I have been exploring the state of aging in the United States, this is my current obsession and it is actually quite fascinating. I am thinking my obsession over the next few months will revolve around human biology... just a guess.
